Astute readers will notice something new, a change to this little blog.
After dodging tornadoes, but not dodging heavy thunderstorms at 3am, it was time to leave Kentucky. We made the 180 mile drive north on 65 to Indianapolis. At one of the rest stops I made note of this sign.
My statement in title refers to this sign:
Kentucky: birthplace of Lincoln
Indiana: boyhood home of Lincoln
Illinois: land of Lincoln (spent his adult years there)
We are just east of Indianapolis at a very nice KOA campground. (normally my last choice for a campground but this one is nice)
I will give you some time to discover what is new or changed. And yes, true to form for the majority of this trip, strong storms and rain on tap for tonight and tomorrow.
...gather ye rosebuds while ye may...
