End of an era
All good things must end I gues. Back in 2007 we came to Broken Bow for the festival and rented a nice cabin for the the weekend. Pure nirvana! Loved the cabin, loved a restaurant in Hochatown, loved the festival. Fast forward 7 years. The festival remains essentially the same with bad weather this year affecting attendance and vendors. Weather discouraged much idle time outside listening to the performers. Our once favorite restaurant is now mediocre and way over priced. The cabin we have rented all these years has changed as well. Physical building still the same but changes such as no satellite TV, nearby new construction destroying the privacy, and significantly increased cost, have killed the appeal. Sad to say but this probably brings a end to our love affair with this cabin and festival. Been fun but time to find a new festival and location to visit. So long old friend, lot of memories...
Return to Broken Bow
We have returned to Broken Bow for the annual Beaver's Bend Folklife Festival. We have enjoyed coming to this little festival for the past seven years. Will provide photos and commentary later.
